13 Colonies and Moving West

On an outline of the United States, color in and show when different areas of land were aquired by the United States. You do not need to show each individual state, but when large groups of land were purchased. Use MS Paint or GIMP 2 to color and label these areas. After coloring them in, do the following:

-Paste into MS Word.

-Give the following information A) when each was purchased, B) why it was purchased, C) How it was acquired.

Pike Place Market Research:

We will be going to Pike Place Market on Tuesday. In order to get ready we need to do some research. Download the Pike Place Market Research document and answer each of the questions. When you finish, please put your copy in the dropbox and print a copy. If you complete that, respond to the questions below that are Pike Place Market Scavenger Hunt Questions in the same Word document.

-How many different varieties of cheese does Beecher's Cheese sell?

-What is the most expensive 1 lb block of cheese that they sell, and how much is it?

-Where would you find Pike Place Bagels in the market?

-You love doughnuts, and want to go to a donut shop. What is the name of one, and where would you find it in the market?

-You love glass items. Name one of the glass vendors, and what some of the items are that they sell?

-Don & Joe's Meats is a meat market at Pike Place. Where is it located, how many different types of meat do they sell, and what is their daily special?
