After The French and Indian war, Great britian needed to pay of its debts. So this is how the stamp act took place. the British Taxed all paper products, such as newspaper, Playing cards, and of course stamps! This made the colonists furious. So the colonists just didnt buy any paper products. The tax collectors came to pick up taxes from people, some colonists were so furious they attacked and injured tax collectors!
